I got this recipe from my friend Malka; through the years it became a very popular cake in our family, and was often sent with the boys to the army, or on trips or picnics.

Ingredients:
- 200 grams bittersweet chocolate (approx. 7 oz)
- 200 grams butter (approx. 7 oz)
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 5 eggs
- 5 Tablespoons self rising flour
Preparation:
- In medium size pot, melt the butter, chocolate and sugar. As soon as it is melted, turn off flame.
- Add 5 eggs, one at a time, mixing all the time with a whisk.
- Add 5 Tablespoons of self rising flour and mix in with whisk until you see no flour.
- Bake in 24 cm (about 9 1/2 inches) round pan or a square or rectangular pan of approximately the same size,, which has been greased; if desired, you can also put baking paper on the bottom. If you use a square or rectangular pan, you can later cut the cake into little cubes, and serve them as brownies.
- This cake does not have a frosting, and is good served “as is” – but if you like you can always serve it with whipped cream, or make any frosting you like.
