Cauliflower Patties

This is a recipe that we inherited from Savta Rivka. Brings back warm memories of Pinsker 5.

Ingredients

  • Cauliflower (fresh or frozen)
  • Eggs ( amount depends on amount of cauliflower)
  • Bread crumbs ( enough so that mixture can be made into patties
  • Salt
  • More breadcrumbs for coating the patties before frying.
  • Margarine or butter for frying

Preparation

  1. Cook cauliflower in salted water till soft. Drain water from califlower in a strainer, till mo water remains on cauliflower.
  2. In bowl mash cauliflower till well mashed
  3. Add eggs (2-3) depending on amount of cauliflower used.
  4. Add salt and breadcrumbs till mixture is able to be formed into patties.
  5. Form small patties.
  6. Dip the patties into breadcrumbs, coating both sides.
  7. Heat margarine or butter in non-stick frying pan. Fry till golden brown, turning over so that both sides are fried.
  8. Serve
